Fansipan trekking tour (3 days)
The overnight trek starts with a car transfer from Sapa town up to the Tram Ton, Heaven’s Gate. The uphill drive takes about one hour before you get in the Hoang Lien Nature Reserve. After the first hiking day, you almost reach the top. The following day you arrive to the top of the Fansipan mountain where you will spend some time to celebrate to victory before going downhill to your departure point. You will be picked up by your vehicle again and transferred back to Sapa town.
At 3143m Mt. Fansipan is the highest peak in Vietnam and the entire Indochina peninsula. To successfully conquer the highest peak, mountaineers need to be in good shape and properly equipped with such things as sleeping bags, waterproof tents, food, stove, raincoat, compass and other miscellaneous survival gear. Fansipan Mountain has long been the destination for those who is fond of exploring.
Trekking Fansipan mountain is not a easy activity. The Fansipan tours are not recommended for everyone. Trekkers are required to have a good health, training. People who have heart problems are not encouraged to take part in the tour. Contact Lotussia Travel for more details.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa
We pick you up at your hotel , overnight train to Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa – Tram Ton – 2900m
8:00: You will be met up with Lotussia Travel team at your hotel in Sapa. You travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to
Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest
peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. The trek will be relatively soft until
lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and
enjoy a good lunch.
With new energy you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route you
have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sapa area and beautiful
landscape of Lai Chau province. You will arrive to the campsite at 2900m ASL in the late afternoon.
Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well prepared dinner.
Day 3: 2900m – the top of Fansipan – Tram Ton – Sapa
After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you
can enjoy the best view to beautiful sceneries. You will then trek through rainforest to go back to
the campsite for lunch.
After lunch, you start your journey back. You follow the trail as well as stone steeps built by Hoang
Lien National Park until you meet your car, which is there to take you back to Sapa. In the afternoon
you will arrive back to Hanoi, where you can celebrate your achievement and relax.
